The “Wadayashiki Besso” inn in Ureshino Onsen, Saga Prefecture, will open the cafe “Made in Pierre Herme Wadayashiki Besso” on July 1st as part of the hot spring inn innovation project “Reborn Wataya Project”.
In this cafe, they have developed unique menus using local ingredients, such as macarons using Ureshino Sencha, Hojicha, and Genmaicha, and two types of chocolate cakes using Ureshino Sencha and Hojicha. They also offer an afternoon tea incorporating seasonal special ingredients. They serve with original white porcelain by Hizen Yoshida ware “224porcelain”.
The inn started this project in November 2021, commemorating the 71st year since its founding. The inn is equipped with facilities such as a restaurant, spa, the bookstore “BOOKS&TEA Sanpuku” boasting 10,000 volumes where one can enjoy reading and tea, the “Riverbank Sauna” where one can feel at one with nature on the banks of the Ureshino River, and the “Yohaku Lab Soko Room” by the fragrance brand Yohaku. They are aiming to transition from a place to stay, an “inn”, to a place to visit regularly.
