Limited quantities available daily: ‘Chestnut-filled Mont Blanc Parfait’ priced at 530 yen including tax.

The revolving sushi chain “Kura Sushi” will be hosting a “Crab and Salmon Roe” fair at all their nationwide locations starting from September 29th. From the dessert brand “KURA ROYAL”, they will be offering the “Chestnut-filled Mont Blanc Parfait” as a new autumn dessert.

The “Chestnut-filled Mont Blanc Parfait” from “KURA ROYAL” has vanilla ice cream on top, followed by shibugaki chestnuts that are peeled one by one by hand and then slowly simmered in sugar to achieve a soft and moist texture. Additionally, it’s topped with small but sweet-tasting kogane chestnuts.

The Mont Blanc cream used as the base stands out with its rich flavor and depth. This parfait beautifully combines whipped cream that emphasizes the sweetness of the chestnuts and a Mont Blanc whip with a shibugaki chestnut flavor, allowing you to enjoy various chestnut tastes. Additionally, there’s a sponge layer hidden within the cream, providing a delightful change in texture, making the parfait satisfying to eat. Given the meticulous preparation process, one wouldn’t expect such an intricate dessert from a sushi restaurant.

Kura Sushi commented, “This parfait uses plenty of in-season chestnuts. It’s not just the shibugaki and kogane chestnuts on top; the Mont Blanc cream and Mont Blanc whip at the bottom also incorporate chestnuts. It’s a dish where you can relish four different types of chestnuts. Since it’s available in limited quantities, we encourage you to order soon.”
