“SHIBUYA TSUTAYA” was reopened on April 25th following renovations. Concurrently, the 3rd and 4th floors were completely revamped, and the “SHARE LOUNGE” was introduced. The full details were unveiled to the press on April 24th, the day before the reopening.
Here are seven additional images of the interior of SHARE LOUNGEPreviously, the same floor was primarily focused on the rental services unique to “TSUTAYA.” It has undergone a complete transformation and is now a comfortable place to stay.
The lounge opening on the 3rd and 4th floors is equipped with power outlets and Wi-Fi. It offers about 240 seats and is available from 8 AM to 11 PM. The 3rd floor features a unique space with a view of the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, displaying a one-of-a-kind, oversized figurine. Tables are strategically placed among the displays, ensuring ample space. According to the lounge staff, the space is primarily intended for tourists and fans of various content.
The 4th floor provides a space surrounded by bookshelves and art, designed with a more work-oriented atmosphere in mind, primarily for business use. The much-loved semi-private rooms are likely to be in high demand.
Additionally, the lounge offers drinks (including alcoholic beverages), light meals, snacks, and frozen foods for its patrons. At first glance, the lavishness may make you laugh and wonder, “What is this? Can this really exist right in the middle of Shibuya?”
Even on the 4th floor, though on a smaller scale, there is a space equipped to provide drinks and snacks. It’s now a place where you could comfortably spend from morning till evening.
Here’s a question: Can drinks from the Starbucks located on the 1st and 2nd floors be brought in?
Upon inquiring with the staff of “SHARE LOUNGE,” it’s confirmed that drinks can be brought into the 3rd floor. However, to prevent spills and accidents on the escalator, drinks should be carried in bags (as of April 24). Rules may change over time based on usage patterns. It’s advisable to check with the staff of Starbucks or “SHARE LOUNGE” at the time of your visit.
The usage fee is 1,650 yen per hour for the standard plan and 2,200 yen per hour for the alcohol plan. At these prices, drinks, snacks, and frozen foods are available for unlimited consumption.
Additionally, a “Collaboration Cafe” has opened on the 7th floor, where fans can connect through experiences and space. This cafe collaborates with various global contents including anime, comics, artists, and luxury brands, creating a unique space where fans can connect through experiences found nowhere else. It offers original food, desserts, and drinks tailored to each content.
