[Report] Tokyo: “Botanical Breeze Afternoon Tea” Featuring a Refreshing Aftertaste Debuts May 1

From May 1 to June 30, ANA InterContinental Tokyo in Minato Ward, Tokyo, will offer the “Botanical Breeze Afternoon Tea with THANN” at its second-floor Atrium Lounge. Prices start at ¥8,396 including tax and service charge. The afternoon tea was recently unveiled to the media in a special preview event.

Named “Botanical Breeze” to evoke the image of a flower-scented breeze, this afternoon tea is a collaboration with THANN, a luxury natural skincare brand from Thailand that also operates a spa within the hotel.

The 12 sweets featured in the afternoon tea incorporate elegant floral scents such as jasmine and rose, along with refreshing herbs like lemongrass, rosemary, and bergamot. These creations are inspired by THANN’s fragrance collection “Eden Breeze,” which is themed around a paradise overflowing with blooming flowers.

The vibrant lineup of sweets resembles a garden in full bloom, featuring elegant creations such as the “Rose and White Peach Cube Jelly” adorned with colorful flower petals, the “Rosemary and Lemon Cake” topped with a delicate daisy-shaped wafer, and the “Bergamot Mousse” decorated with a butterfly-shaped chocolate.

The “Jasmine and Rose Cream ‘Elen Breeze’” features a layer of jasmine tea–infused custard cream and tangy rose cream atop a vanilla sablé, finished with edible rose petals as a topping. Inside, it holds a refreshing jasmine-flavored sauce. Each sweet in the collection is delicately sweetened, offering a light and refreshing finish.

The savory selections, served on a separate plate, feature five light and elegant items perfect for early summer. Highlights include the “Mortadella Ham Pâté Coated with Pistachios” and the “Foie Gras Mousse and Macaron with Truffle Cream Cheese.”

Guests can enjoy a free-flow selection of 15 beverages, including black and herbal teas from Germany’s renowned tea brand Ronnefeldt, as well as coffee. A special drink set is also available, featuring the refreshing “Orange Breeze” squash made with mint and orange. The set including this special drink is priced at ¥9,596 (tax and service charge included). “Orange Breeze” can also be ordered separately without a reservation for ¥1,702 (tax and service charge included).
