
Starting May 6, 7-Eleven will launch a limited-time food campaign called “Meccha Matcha” at stores across Japan, offering a selection of sweets and ice cream made with Uji matcha and other premium ingredients.

Launching progressively from May 6, the “Rich Matcha Cheesecake” combines the smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture of cream cheese and creamy white chocolate as the “Western” element, with the bittersweet flavor of matcha and a base layer of sweetened red beans (kanoko) as the “Japanese” element—creating a perfect harmony of textures and flavors.

Also rolling out gradually from May 6, the “Fluffy Mochi Dorayaki with Rich Uji Matcha Cream” features a rich matcha cream and flavorful sweet red bean paste (tsubu-an) sandwiched between soft, chewy dorayaki pancakes. The refined sweetness of the red bean paste enhances the deep flavor of the matcha, making for a well-balanced and elegant treat.

The “Uji Matcha Japanese Parfait” layers a variety of matcha-based elements—including jiggly matcha jelly, smooth matcha mousse, fluffy whipped cream, and rich matcha sweet bean cream—creating a Japanese-style parfait. It offers a delightful mix of textures and evolving flavors with every bite.

Launching progressively from May 11, the “Toro Mochi Warabi Uji Matcha” offers two delightful textures in one: a chewy, smooth exterior paired with a soft, melt-in-your-mouth center. A rich brown sugar syrup enhances the deep flavor of the matcha. Note: This item will not be available in Okinawa Prefecture.

Launching progressively from May 11, the “Rich Matcha Pudding – Uji Matcha” is characterized by its uniquely stretchy, chewy texture when scooped with a spoon. This matcha-lover’s dessert combines a pleasantly astringent Uji matcha sauce with smooth, melt-in-your-mouth matcha whipped cream for a full-bodied green tea experience.

Rolling out progressively from May 13, the “Double Cream Puff – Uji Matcha” features a generous two-layer filling of fluffy whipped cream and rich Uji matcha cream. It’s marked by a delightful contrast between the light, milky sweetness and the fragrant, slightly bitter notes of premium matcha.

The “Crispy Pie Matcha Latte” stands out with its surprisingly crunchy pie crust. It’s coated with rich matcha chocolate and paired with white chocolate, creating a smooth and mellow flavor reminiscent of a matcha latte.

Rolling out progressively from May 13, the “Matcha Milk Whipped Donut” features a chewy dough filled with rich matcha milk-flavored whipped cream. Designed to stand out visually as well, this donut offers both taste and eye-catching appeal.

Launching progressively from May 20, the “Seven Premium Gold – Rich Uji Matcha Ice Cream Waffle Cone” blends handpicked young Uji matcha leaves with deeply flavorful matcha to deliver a refined balance of bitterness and umami. The cone, which includes brown sugar syrup for enhanced pairing with the ice cream, marks the first use of this flavor combination in a matcha waffle.
