The name “TaLa” embodies the idea of “Talk by the Lake,” inviting visitors to enjoy conversation and connection while overlooking the water. The café offers a thoughtfully curated menu featuring lunch plates made with seasonal ingredients, alongside specialty coffee and other premium drinks.

During lunch, the café will serve the “TaLa Plate” and a sandwich plate, each featuring generous combinations of seasonal fresh deli items paired with crisp green salad. The menu highlights both local ingredients from Takashima and a selection of organic and craft foods sourced from across Japan to create dishes that are visually vibrant and satisfying.

For sweets, customers can enjoy a gluten-free tiramisu made with sponge cake crafted from locally grown organic rice flour, soaked in espresso syrup, and topped with Hokkaido mascarpone and whipped free-range eggs. The result is a rich, gluten-free treat that includes a hint of liqueur in the syrup.

The lemon cake is made with a blend of organic wheat and rice flour, incorporating whole lemons—zest and juice—baked together, lightly sweetened with beet sugar and amazake, and enriched with tofu for moistness. Seasonal gelato, crafted with fresh ingredients, rounds out the plant-based dessert offerings.

TaLaBrew’s coffee is sourced from the COFFEE COUNTY roastery, with aromatic drip coffee, latte, and espresso selections intended to enhance the calm lakeside atmosphere. In addition, the café will offer homemade spiced chai, Setouchi lemon lemonade, juices blended from Japanese citrus fruits, and Wakocha (Japanese black tea) from Nara’s Tsukigase region—providing a variety of drinks that reflect both the season and mood of visitors.
