This afternoon tea can be enjoyed in an elegant space wrapped in beautiful shades of wisteria, with around 3,000 wisteria flowers cascading from the ceiling. This year’s theme is “Wisteria × Fairy Garden,” creating an even more immersive seasonal setting.

The moment you open the entrance door, the interior unfolds before you like an extraordinary world, dyed in a gradient of deep purple and pale lilac. A dynamic wisteria trellis covers the entire space overhead, while arches of wisteria flowers spill down from the walls, creating a striking sense of immersion. Natural light pours in through the large windows, further enhancing the fantastical atmosphere.

Once seated, guests find themselves surrounded by wisteria blossoms hanging from the ceiling. It had been a long time since I was surrounded by this many flowers. The word “emotional” naturally came to mind.

Created by a pâtissier with experience at a renowned hotel in Tokyo, this afternoon tea is themed around “a sweet and elegant wisteria world woven by fairies.” The lineup includes five sweets, such as a wisteria-colored parfait featuring layers of grape sorbet, fromage blanc mousse, white chocolate, and meringue; butterfly-shaped cassis mousse; purple sweet potato tart; and several other desserts generously using assorted berries. The savory selection also features five items, including lasagna layered with eggplant and mozzarella, and a shrimp cutlet burger served on pale wisteria-colored buns.

Silverware and glassware refined in tones of wisteria add to the presentation, creating a tea time experience filled with the charm of the flower.

Commenting on the afternoon tea, the café said, “We created the menu with balance and contrast in mind. The composition is designed so guests won’t grow tired of it, with variations in flavor throughout.”

After tasting part of the menu, the contrast in flavors was indeed clear, with refreshing sweetness and gentle acidity. Nothing felt overly sweet, making it easy to enjoy. The sweets also offered a pleasing range of textures, from tarts to mousse cakes. The savory lasagna was carefully prepared as well, leaving a strong impression. The overall menu is approachable not only for women but also for men.

The afternoon tea is scheduled to be available until July 1.
